Freebies and Deals, and on Nook too (12)

I found a few deals this week.  Okay, so they found me.  But I'm not complaining.  I'm excited, and sharing them with you! :)

I do have the link to the Friday Free book on Barnes & Noble.  And there is an adventurous YA book for free today.  It sounds like a very good read!

First, we have Rhemalda Publishing sharing a few books once again!
Again!  If you want these books but need a different format, email the wonderful people at Rhemalda Publishing, they will gratefully send you the book in the format you need. marketing{at}rhemalda{dot}com
Subliminal by Brian Blocker  On: Amazon,  UK Kindle
Robert Dawes is a hard man to say no to. In fact, it's almost impossible not to let him have his way. After using his charm to construct the perfect life and conquer his part of the corporate world, he meets a stranger who tells him the real reason for his success.

Robert is subconsciously controlling the minds of others.

There are more people like Robert. Some want to help him develop his abilities, some want to harness his power for their own ends. As Robert struggles to control his growing power before it consumes him, he is drawn into a conflict that threatens his sanity, his family, and the future of mankind.

Seattle Sleuth by Alexandra MacKenzie  On: Amazon,  UK Kindle
1921. A war lies behind him … a new battle lies ahead.

Philip Shaw is a Great War veteran and widower struggling to put his life back together. He grasps at a chance to make a difference by investigating the death of a newspaper editor – did the man die in an accidental fire, or was it murder?

Shaw joins forces with fiery crime reporter Ray Taylor to dig into police corruption, a rivalry between a powerful shipbuilder and a sly politician, and the seedy world of Seattle’s wide-open red-light district. Will they find the answers in the speakeasies, among the rum-runners on the waterfront, or at the mansions of the rich? Before they can solve the mystery, level-headed Phil Shaw and hot-tempered Ray Taylor will have to learn to work together – without killing each other first!

A Thief of Nightshade by J.S. Chancellor  On: Amazon, UK Kindle
Avalar isn’t real.

At least, it wasn’t supposed to be.

Aubrey never expected to fall in love with and marry her graduate writing professor Jullian. His life’s work, a grim fantasy titled ‘A Thief of Nightshade’ encompassed everything Aubrey hated about fairy tales and make-believe.

After Jullian goes missing and is eventually presumed dead, Aubrey discovers just how make-believe the world of ‘Nightshade’ is…

Not only is Jullian alive and well in Avalar, he’s at the mercy of the Dark Fae, condemned to a fate worse than death, with no memory of Aubrey or his time in her world. In order to save him, she’ll have to confront more than just the demons in her past, but the very real ones that await her in a place she never thought could exist.

All of them will do everything in their power to stop her.

I also saw a fantasy short story that sounded interesting, if you would like to look into it:
Crimzon & Clover by M.R. Mathias  On: Nook, Amazon
Don't mess with a girl and her dragon, at least not these two. A young dragon loses his mother to lair raiders and is left to fend for himself. A lucky girl happens upon him and together they form a lasting bond. When more men come to raid the lair the two are forced to defend themselves, and each other, in a wicked battle. Magic, swordplay, and dragon riding await in this satisfying short story.
